The Gloucestershire Local History Documents Online project (GlosDocs) allows any GLHA member group to publish material online. It also welcomes submissions from Gloucestershire local historians and enthusiasts.

This material might be complete articles, exhibition displays, research notes, image collections, maps, transcriptions, online versions of out of print publications or any other type of document.

In essence, GlosDocs makes available valuable material which it is not feasible to publish in hardcopy format due to the constraints of printing costs and distribution.

A detailed account of GlosDocs appeared in the Gloucestershire Heritage Hub Newsletter: January 2019.

Items recently added to GlosDocs (March 2025) include:-

The Lionel Walrond Photographic Collection: 1800+ images relating mainly to the Stroud Area, making a total of 4197 images available online (so far).

The Jim Simmons Photographic Collection: 667 images of the industrial heritage of Gloucestershire.

The Hugh Conway-Jones Photographic Collection: 121 images of the industrial heritage of the Stroud Valleys and the Forest of Dean.

WW1 – National Filling Factory No. 5 Gloucester (Quedgeley) and H.M. Magazine Gloucester (Slimbridge):

These are the research notes (part 1) of Brian Edwards who has published several articles on the subject. They comprise more than 320 pages and include transcriptions of many of the items that appeared in the local newspapers as well as plans and specifications.    Admittedly this is a very specialised topic but it is an excellent resource which includes considerable social history of the period. This is a good example of where GlosDocs can be very useful in making such material available to future researchers.

George Waller & Son, Ltd.: a fully illustrated catalogue of some products that this important Stroud company made for the gas industry.

A farm sale catalogue of 1919, partly annotated with the prices paid.
